2006 R Congress set the stage for the “losses” by mandating that USPS pre fund 75 years of retirement benefits.

Going to end on one of the most beautiful commercials ever made with the reminder and a call to remember the small things. They make a big difference to others.

Love all, help all.

Go Jackets.

It would cost peanuts. As a matter of principle, I always agree with paying people more. The rent is too damn high!

I think if the told the ISP to fck all the way off he wouldn’t need a nickel of his own money.

NH is a control state with a state run liquor distribution racket that nets ~$175MM to the state general fund. I like the idea to solve for food deserts.

Projecting hegemonic power is also a costly business that directly supports the US dollar as the world’s primary reserve currency. Realignment of world currencies will also be a dirty business.

He’s such a bottom feeder that it’s almost impossible for me to wrap my arms around how you could possibly slander him.

It was painstakingly planned and executed over decades. Monied conservative interests led by the Koch brothers. Devastatingly effective.

Adds about $120MM to NH state annual revenue. City-run grocery store producing surplus that can be re-invested in the neighborhoods sounds like a win!

Dang. Sounds like a movie review for a cartoon(ish) villain. Yet, so accurate. A grotesque combination of pettiness, ignorance, and self interest that defies common language to define because he operates so far outside the bounds of decency and logic. We’re all degrees more stupid exposed to him.

The lot rents are exploitive. Manufactured housing remains an affordable option for some but only when residents also own the land as a cooperative. NH pioneered this fantastic business model through the vision of Julie Eades.

Wish I could like this more than once.

All that is true and maybe the Smith comparison is still accurate. Low level scoundrels, all.

The Deficit Myth by Stephanie Kelton and work by Warren Mosler put all this in layperson’s language. Simply put, a sovereign currency (US dollar is one of many) gets “dollars” from the same source that a bowling alley gets points to award you while bowling. 1s and 0s in a computer system.

No problem. Pull the curtain back on the farce that bonds are needed to fund our national treasury.
April 10, 2025 at 4:00 PM
We sell bonds not for operational reasons, but only to comply with federal statutes. They are unnecessary to the functioning of a sovereign currency.
