This panel was excellent. I opened the link on my phone, saw how long it was and decided to save it for full-screen TV viewing on Friday night. Totally worth it. Never knew how big of a factor gambling was in the early NES days. Cool to hear about the controller docking options on various models too

This filing choice does seem of a piece with Dewey’s perspective on the world, though. At least, according to what I know from this utterly devastating Judith Flanders’ footnote in her book “A Place for Everything: The Curious History of Alphabetical Order.”

In my review, I mention how I noticed McKinney’s book was filed under 296.3 at the library where I checked it out. This is a section on Judaism, specifically “Theology, ethics, views of social issues.” This choice baffles me and has some awful implications…

In my review, I reflect on those issues and my misgivings about buying a game simply because I received an email about it. I’d love to think I’m stronger than any marketing pitch, but that’s not how being human works.

Wrote a quick message on the b-side of my sign this morning.
Props to the other dude there with the same slogan on his sign. Some people took pictures of us together but I didn’t think to have anyone use my phone for them. Glad he sought me out so we could take the pic.

This sign, though. Wow. Takes the cake. Saving it for last because it is so powerful. A message that resonates throughout time (and the halls of this nation’s schools). This is what youth outreach looks like.
Laughed harder at this one than any others. Not even kidding!
