Its for using. I mount my handles dried, hammer wedged, and steel cross-Peened, then Soak them in oil head covered for a month. My hammers too. Im a backsmith, havent broke a handle I made yet! Try soaking them!

They burrow or borrow other abandoned holes. Hollow logs.
June is egg laying time. Drive down backroads with a BUCKET in the car. They get on hot pavement to warm their belly before laying eggs. I pick up hundreds a year from roads. Ive even hatched them in a coffee cup!

First off, HI! Start with what you have. THAT Turtle, is an ORNATE BOX TURTLE and it is, and has been on the ENDANGERED SPECIES LIST for some time. If you have a gathering place for these rare creatures, its probably egg laying ground. Thats RARE! You are Guardians! Stand up for them!
