After 3 years avoiding the dreaded virus I finally succumbed last week. After eight days still feeling like shite, lost a ton of weight and food tastes like cardboard. Really tired still. Thank goodness for the cuddles of the dog and cat.

Just finished a 14 hour day working in a polling booth in Tauranga. Met a lovely statistician from Wellington who said with this result he will be one of those to lose his job. Why are people so selfish sending NZ back to the dark ages. Tired and angry.

Number one dog not happy with no walk this morning. Raining and windy. Yucky

Dinner with the family in a new little restaurant in Papamoa. Yummy food, lots of laughs and hugs. Makes my heart sing.

Have a job during this election so have to keep my political thoughts to my self until 15th. Boy is it hard.
