RFK is a trigger. On March 13, 1979 my son Gregory was born. No one ever could have convinced me that such happiness was possible. Unbelievable joy. On February 14, 1981 Gregory died. No one could ever have prepared me for such excruciating pain.

This sign triggers the memory of the tragic death of my firstborn. The HIB vaccine was not available in 1981 when he was diagnosed with epiglottis. He died after 28 days on a ventilator. He was 23 months old. Thursday would be his 46th birthday. The HIB could have allowed his growth into adulthood.
