An early morning swim can often be quite nice.
You missed off Cellardyke, St Monans and Pittenweem Tidal Pools.

While we are on the subject, a train (painted in appropriate livery) has been named 'Chris Green' for the man who implemented Network Southeast as part of the 200 years railway celebration. He was also English Heritage's Chief Executive for a while.

No ice cream vans, but a bit of summer still left in Wick.

Wick. Blessed by two outdoor pools, the North Baths and The Trinkie.

This is Boo. She is not my cat but posting because it is important to let the world know that David Bowie has been reincarnated as a cat. (Boo has different colour eyes. David Boo-ie!). I'd imagine her dietary requirements change with all her regular shape-shifting.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. I was wondering if you had any sense that staycation had persisted and given the seaside a permanent boost? I went to Skegness last week and was surprised at how busy it was (outside of school holidays). Pool thankfully quiet, though!

The pool is heated! It's celebrating its 50th year and the lifeguard told me it had been built with Miners' Welfare Fund support, though it seems a bit late for that. Didn't get time to look at the town, sadly, next stop was the Settle - Carlisle railway.
