I have a feeling this will be something I need to overcome with async / threading eventually. Currently my scenes don't have much going on so it's a non-issue. I'm keeping the main script, player, and camera outside of the level node and swapping this level node out / in while inside the tube.

hey man, once I get all this stuff refactored out of my fever dream state I will share some insights. I haven't used many resources other than watching gameplay of Anthem on YouTube as inspiration for the camera drift. Helps to doodle stuff out and think about rotation and whatnot on paper.

Now combine that with Godot's PackedScene.save() and you can export those junk piles and convert to environment objects. 😍 Makes scattering objects so much easier in the junkyard...hookup an array of junk mesh scenes, spawn them, knock em around, save em... #godot #godotengine #indiedev #gamedev
