Couple of cold shots from Ayr last January. Expecting Arran to look that way again before much longer. It is good to live in a town beside the sea. Especially with views of the island.

Heron often hang around the shores of lochs and islands in Scotland, in seems. This one was not camera shy. Stood there on the edge of Arran.

What luck! I was given Fran Lock's omnibus collection from Culture Matters this year. I don't know a poet who is simultaneously such a scholar of the marginal, switched on to the everyday and an incantor of deep and ancient spells.

Loving some of the philosophical qualities of this new book by Anne Michaels. A touch of Laplanche among an existential stance.

Played our first game of #GaiaProject : the Lost Fleet tonight. Superbly well integrated expansion. Felt intuitive. Seems there is scope to score a little more highly than the base game. We both did a little better than usual in anteo player game. Loved the new factions and the ships were FUN.

I was lucky enough to visit the middle of #Norway a couple of years ago. A lifetime dream, to somewhere the landscape feels like the home I've never been to. Some #photographs from here.

It is good to live near to the sea now. I'm growing to love this view already. I can feel it all making me want to write, play, meet with people and, of course, take photos.
