iOS build v1.0.0+24 adds a new photo library screen accessible from the app drawer. If you upload photos with the toggle to include metadata you should see your photos organized by date. This is currently read only but we'll add more functionality soon. That's all! Have a nice weekend 🏔️

- Rich text facet support in inputs. Typing @someuser will open an overlay to select the matching user and insert the handle text into the input. Also highlights links and hashtags as you type. This works for gallery descriptions, comments, and profile descriptions.

✨Cool new feature in the iOS app: you can now edit all your gallery’s alt texts at once. We’ll probably bring this back to the web app too.

Launching EXIF support today! There's a new checkbox on the uploads page that enables parsing of photo metadata. We parse a small set tags from the Exif 2.3 standard instead of everything to keep it simple. We don't parse location data and the raw file is stripped on upload.

Really excited to announce that Grain now has our own moderation service that runs totally on our own infrastructure, built on the same tools that run Bluesky and on the #atprotocol. We are aiming to be a totally new social network focused on photography. 📸

Update! Leaning fully into our own graph. Followers/following counts are for grain follows. Clicking the follow button is for grain only. We think this will set us up better in the future and help us to become a social network of our own outside of Bluesky. cc @goose.art

And yes, you can now follow people directly in Grain. Which means a new user to the #atprotocol can sign up via our first PDS, Ansel, with a .grain.social handle and only interact with people in Grain if they want to. Reach out if you want early access to invites!

Big updates! We now look for other profiles you've made on the #atprotocol and you can filter your following feed by people you follow on those networks. The means you can see galleries made by your @tangled.sh friends! We currently support profiles on Bluesky, Tangled, and Grain itself.

Important update to favorites! We now show all your favorites on your profile page (only for you) and removed the extra favorite posts from the timeline. Now you can keep track of them all in the one place and have a little more privacy when favoriting things. Happy Graining!

Just pushed out update to the home page! There's now two feed options: Timeline and Following. Timeline is all gallery creations and favs, and the following tab filters that down to only people you follow. The follow graph in Grain is the same as Bluesky.

Steps to update:
- Go to your profile page
- Click "Edit profile"
- Click the avatar circle to select a new photo
- Click "Update"
