London, UK based, retired Cunard Line Ship’s Officer onboard QE2. Politics is broken in this country and it's going to need radical reform to even begin to fix. Call me ‘woke’ and I’ll thank you for the compliment.
True, but you’re rapidly reaching that period in your life when the only emission is wee and invariably in little dribbles at that, when least expected.

When Crossrail was being built a live music venue at the Astoria was lost to the redevelopment. The Outernet Complex was it’s 21st Century replacement. Samsung has supplied the LED screens and obviously advertises the fact. Tokyo has its giant 3D cat, London has the largest LED screens in Europe.

That part of Charing X Rd has seen a lot of changes over the past 10 years, let alone going back 50 years with the demise of the independent bookshops and ‘Tin Pan Alley”. The Now Building may not to be to everyone’s taste, but the giant 8K LED screens are proving to be very popular with families.

If McDonalds ends up sponsoring the Ballroom perhaps KFC could sponsor the other wing; they can call it the Chicken Wing. 😏

I’ll get my coat and leave quietly by alternative routes.

Didn’t he get run out of Aspen on his ski holiday due to protests? I think that is likely why.

Well that was the year before and pre-Oct 7th.

Dear God that’s just sick. I can’t even comprehend the mindset behind this.

Actually I do, but as I had a long drive this morning to get to my nieces’ home address for their Mother’s funeral, let’s just say that what I would want to say can wait. I wouldn’t want you to think I haven’t got anything to retort back to.

I don’t know, Dipa. Enlighten me on what YOU consider to be British cuisine as you are able to compare it to more “evolved” German cuisine. It’s a simple straightforward enough question.

is one of the great dishes of Austria and German Bavaria, especially when served with a potato salad and a cucumber salad alongside a cold glass of weissbier. Also curry wurst is flavoured with a sprinkling of curry powder as is the accompanying ketchup.

Firstly, define what you see as British cuisine as I’m detecting a whole drawer full of really bad hackneyed, clichéd, generalised perceptions based on ignorance, Dipa. Secondly, a good Weiner Schnitzel using veal rather than pork escallops or better still Veal Holstein with capers and anchovies
