I've never understood the hate for cyclists. If they weren't cycling a good number would be forced to take motor vehicles, further clogging up the streets"

I have always said that one day a year, every cyclist should get in a car and drive to/from work. Then people would stop complaining.

No they won’t. What wil happen is a public ‘show trial’ and the Cli tons will stand there and dump on Trump and the GOP committee members wont be able to do a thing.

One only has to watch YouTube to see how many Americans drive cars without tax or insurance to know this is is a non-starter.

Someone should send Tricia a link to the Nuremberg trials and point out the bits where low level functionaries who tried the ‘just obeying orders’ approach excuses ended up in a hangman’s noose.

To be fair you do need ICE within 1 kilometre of a land border and inside an airport terminal. If they go outside of that, they are no longer paid. Unarmed as well.

Someone please tell the bitch that Halligan never had tenure in the job, any more than I had tenure as a QB for the local mental asylum. You can’t have tenure if you are legally appointed. Someone get the paperwork ready to get the salary and benefits back.

If it wasn’t for the French, the US would have lost the War of Independence against the UK.

Without the UK holding out ski d for years, Germany would have won WW2, got nukes first, and would have nuked the US after consolidating in Europe. Germany would have got to the moon first as a result.
January 21, 2026 at 7:53 PM
Someone explain how the CAP in France has kept their tiny farmers going for decades when by rights they should have gone out of business if the title is true ?
January 19, 2026 at 4:07 PM
Hey asswipe. Replying and them blocking people just shows you are as regarded as you post.
January 18, 2026 at 9:45 AM
Anyone like you who is invitation of the realities of US gun culture needs to be careful of commenting on anything.
January 17, 2026 at 10:35 PM
Handy reality check for morons. It’s a right to bear arms and the NRA morons ‘justification’ is to stop the government doing exactly what it is doing now. Ask any gun nutter. It’s not about external safety but internal paranoia and worry that the guy next door is as insane as they are.
January 17, 2026 at 10:22 PM
I find it amusing that a country that demands a right to own a gun including assault rifles to save yourself from your government, that when the time comes you are literally threatened by your government you all hide under a rock and dont seem to want to use the guns you worship and demand. Pussies.

He knows that 35% of Americans who vote will believe him.
January 14, 2026 at 7:14 PM
They aren’t that clever. Anyway, if they tried to take. Abada by force they would go bankrupt as countries would dump US Treasuries so fast they wouldnt have the money to pay the troops.
January 13, 2026 at 6:51 PM
Canada hasnt got the population to support US industry.
January 13, 2026 at 5:34 PM
You haven’t ‘become’ anything.

You have always been this way but Trump has allowed the majority of Americans to behave in public, the way they have always hidden.

Anyone who has spent a long time in the US knows how broken, bigoted and sociopathic most Americans truly are.
January 13, 2026 at 11:03 AM
Yes and no. Yes , it might allow the US to divert its military expenditure elsewhere. No, because a losing the European defence market will cripple US military suppliers who rely on exports to survive. The US exporters will lose the economy of scale they have with Europe.
January 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM
It makes prefect sense. You are on the inside so cant see what others see. No German will ever take a cut in lifestyle to allow other to run up debt at their expense. No Frenchman will allow State benefits to be cut. The EU is rife with factions which cannot be resolved. It’s one size fits nobody.
January 12, 2026 at 6:06 PM
You are also mistaken if you think dragging one party down will cause a rise in the other. You just end up poorer overall. Just look at what happens in France when they penalised the high earners. They left. And the country is in even bigger shit these days because anyone good, leaves.
January 12, 2026 at 9:50 AM
The thing that stops mobility is the current tax system. Earn more, pay more stops people from rising up - theres literally a tax block at £100k or thereabouts. Flat rate taxes on everyone encourages mobility - that won’t happen when 40% of people pay no income taxes Amd the top 10% pay approx half.
January 12, 2026 at 9:48 AM
So become even more broken like the USA ? Sont ypu realise the reason the EU is broken is precisely for that reason ?
January 12, 2026 at 8:11 AM
Their ‘moral compass’ was based around apartheid, racism, slavery and bigotry though. The US has always been an oligarchy, never a democracy.
January 11, 2026 at 11:51 AM
You don’t spend ‘as a proportion of income’ on items - you spend absolute values of currency. If you earn a lot, and already pay a lot in taxes, you could reasonably argue you should pay less for services as you have already paid far more. You want to live off others but are unwilling to admit it.
January 11, 2026 at 11:49 AM
You are oblivious to the fact that there is zero logic to paying more because you can afford more. There is zero logic and just a choice. Do you pay a higher price in the supermarket for a tin of beans ? Why not ? Simply having more doesn’t mean you should pay more. There is no logic.
January 11, 2026 at 9:11 AM
They also produced 30% of UK taxes without which the other 70% would starve.
