This is very interesting in Sunday Times. Those who have lost a parent in their life are more likely to support assisted dying than those who haven’t. It’s intensely personal isn’t it - personal experience can shape views both ways.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social sorry to say I felt uncomfortable with the whole Captain Tom business all the way through. Imagine Tom had been a working class man walking round his yard instead of a big garden, do you think the BBC (in the beginning) would have got behind the story?
