It’s a version of AJ’s hostage play. Because letting a disaster tribe fester seems bad for everyone. If you’re generally getting along, a tribe swap is a risk you can’t control, but if you have a strong 4-5, you can control tribal.

Hear me out: they had 2-3 rounds to the merge. Logi and Civa throw a round each to keep Vula at 4 members. You avoid the swap. You don’t go into merge at 6. You can flush idols or burn members you’re not good with. If there’s a 3rd round, let Vula go then, knowing the merge will come in the AM.

As the mom of Autistic twins, this scene was beautiful for 2 reasons. 1-Joe’s response and support 2-that she could clearly articulate her needs. As a parent, I hope my twins only encounter beautiful souls like him & are able to know/speak their support needs.
