New to gamedev (and all it entails) - Godot user - Creating a platformer "Reunited" as my hobby on the side.
A small update prior to new years. The game now has a dash and wall jump with effects related to the color of the collectibles that give the abilities. There are still things to work on, though it's nice to have it working somewhat eemlessly. Now onto levels, better camera movement, SFX and more!

Between updating models, work, being sick, christmas shopping, creating a dash, and much more, I havent given an update for now. But it'll come! In meantime - Merry christmas everyone! Happy holidays! 😊

Been a bit busy last week, but!
Gamedev stuff: Here's a short video of some basic stuff. Also: I updated MC model, worked on some main menu stuff that is not quite ready to be shown (which can be reused for the intro scene too)
Other stuff: PoE2 and SUPERVIVE has taken a bit of my time too! Been fun

So... While I've been working on some intro scene and main menu stuff, I wanted to make more scenery. The game is supposed to be pixel-y (simple graphics), to focus on the dev part, but in the midst I created a well, which I think fits a max detail level for my game, and a moon that... exceeded it.

A small update, since I had a bit of time today: A new character appears with a walking animation! Now I just need to find the right way to introduce him.
Extra note: I've been working on doing a simple title screen/main menu, but it's far too early to show anything just yet. Enjoy your weekends!

An update on a few things - It's been a busy week or two. Regular work taking a lot of time, for one. Passing my drivers test and earning my drivers license for second. Gamedev related: I made a rock-related tileset for my game that I think fits the overall theme! The small details are testing only.

Youtube tutorials are super helpful. The past week I've learned about saving and loading data (in regards to game settings, but the knowledge should be applicable to player data as well). On that note: I've made an options menu with a few settings (so far), including control rebinds. Progress!

Hey! I'm -very- new to making games - and just as new to programming in general. The game I'm currently working on is my first project. I have another project I want to do, but I need more experience first. On that note: Here's the character from my profile picture
