Today brought some joy: fall weather!!! So happy I got to pull these boots out from the back of my closet!

Unfortunately, this will only last for a day (oh, Texas…) but I long to live somewhere with all four seasons. Crossing my fingers for my History PhD applications next fall, but we’ll see….

So sorry today has been rough. Sending some good luck and a hug your way. And have some funnies from one of my dogs, who was adamant about being a little helper the last time I got to sit down and write more of my historical fiction novel.

Finally finished William Hogeland’s ‘The Hamilton Scheme: An Epic Tale of Money and Power In the American Founding’, yay! A very interesting and enjoyable read; made me think, too.

Now to more thoroughly dig into Hamilton’s treasury papers, because my curiosity can’t be helped.

Summer break means I finally have all my books in one place again! But the state of things is… overcrowded. But I guess having lots of books is a good problem to have?

Don’t you love it when the book you’re currently reading gets a hello from the pouring rain?
Yeah, me too. 🙁

It’s always fun when I’m doing a bit of research and I come across A.Hamilton just dropping his unfiltered opinions on his paper again.

A plus is seeing the paper and handwriting itself.

That is all.

Some joy has come in the form of my birthday presents to myself arriving a week early! I now own half of The Papers of Alexander Hamilton & couldn’t be happier (funnily, the seller I got these from did not have v14, so it’s missing). Also can’t wait to read Crucible of War once the semester is over!

Happy 21st birthday to me. 😊 I couldn’t resist a run through Barnes and Nobel lol.

Spring Break means having all my volumes of The Papers of Alexander Hamilton together in one place again 🥰🥰🥰

(Let’s ignore that I have no space for the remaining 16 volumes I’ll eventually collect, shh).

When you think an afternoon research session for a project will take a few minutes flipping through a volume of The Papers of William Livingston, but it ends up taking an hour—by the end of which you’re left more stuck than you were when you started. 😂

Digging around the Alexander Hamilton Papers for a project, and of all things today it was a dramatically-written ampersand that gave me a good laugh. It really is the small things.

My schedule is a mess, but at least I’ll be looking forward to some interesting classes this upcoming semester. Especially my American Revolution course, for which I may become insufferable. 😂

For Christmas to myself this year, I thought it was finally time to take back what Nextflix removal took from me: all four seasons of my favorite show probably ever.

The rewatch begins in earnest….

Thought I’d introduce myself! I’m Grace, a History major who intends to specialize in the American Revolution and Early Republic. I have a fascination with Alexander Hamilton and love chocolate and cats!
