(she/her) • Author • Disabled, chronic invisible illness • Easily frightened but writes horror (HWA member) • Also writes fantasy and sci fi • Debut horror comedy novel The Scald-Crow out now!
My debut horror/comedy novel, The Scald-Crow, is out today!

It's about chronic pain, invisible disability, childhood trauma, and medical trauma, but it's funny, I promise! It's also about Irish folklore, a heroic rescue cat, and a really irritating bird. There's something for everyone! 🐦‍⬛♿☘️

You love horror comedy, disability representation, and/or supporting debut authors.

I love horror comedy, disability representation, and/or being supported as a debut author.

I know how to make both of us very, very happy.

I went to www.IWantMyHairShirt.com and all I got was this Hair Shirt.

My copy of Hair Shirt by @yoadrianididit.bsky.social and published by @malarkeybooks.bsky.social arrived today. Adrian is a fabulous poet - funny, insightful, and lyrical - and you should get your own Hair Shirt today!

I refuse to give any more attention to them.

Please instead direct your attention to how hot I was while I enjoyed @gradyhendrix.bsky.social's Witchcraft for Wayward Girls on vacation. It's an excellent horror novel, and an excellent rumination on the value and strength of women and girls.

I just finished Soft Targets by @carsonwinter.bsky.social and published by @tenebrouspress.bsky.social - HIGHLY recommend! A slim read with great emotional resonance and a unique examination of the time loop trope. Normally I'm not big into gun violence narratives, but I'm glad I made an exception!

Hello, do you live near Chicago and do you need a friend?

This pretty lady was a stray in my neighborhood and needs a home by December 21st! She's healthy, affectionate, playful, and great with kids and dogs (unknown with cats; didn't like my cat, but my cat started it). PLEASE HELP!
