Part of the problem is the conflation between generative AI (completely bollocks “spicy autocomplete” that’s killing the planet) and machine learning (the scientific uses to expose patterns in enormous data sets which can then be explored by humans)

It is a trick/misleading question. A circle is just the curve, with no inside. Consequently, a semi-circle is just a part of the curve and does not form a loop. What is pictured is a half-disc which has an inside and has two corners (as in points of discontinuity of the path derivative).

I’m a 100% this is encouraged (if not actively done) by the likes of Meta to poison the well and make us think they are all the same, increasing the chance that people tune such warnings out when they actually matter and let Meta hoover more data up.

Maybe scrolling past quickly (and thus not engaging at all) might teach the algorithm? Or perhaps leaving the app every time it shows up?

Like it or not, telling Instagram not to show it again is a strong signal that you have an opinion about it.

Quick question: ignoring the cases when VFX are only “minor” alterations (object removal and so), why are actors knowingly lying that there is no green screen when after the fact behind the scenes footage shows them acting in front of one? Why not say “vex was minimal” or all “stunts were real”?
