Just saw that former Yardbird Chris Dreja has died. You'd think that'd get a mention in the press... Not many people got to play guitar alongside Clapton, Beck and Page. Even fewer had Page on bass!

Holder of the prize for "most well known, deeply problematic, record sleeve", Blind Faith's only LP is a lesson in leaving space for the music to breathe. It's also one of the last times, for me, that Clapton was interesting.

A day walking aimlessly in London is a wonderful way to while away the hours. I don't think I could ever tire of that place. Looking at the Thames and remembering that it's tidal and has beaches right in the heart of the city always provokes a smile!

Probably the last truly great Sabbath LP, but what a run they'd had! Even this one, created under huge legal pressure, managed, in 6 1/2 minutes, to invent Thrash Metal (obvs, being Sabbath, the end of the track was very different).

If you want to know where British blues begins, it begins here - Blues Incorporated. Alexis Korner, Cyril Davies and Dick Heckstall-Smith absolutely launched the blues in the UK. John Mayall followed in their footsteps. Without them, no Rolling Stones.

Samsung's latest version of android really is incredibly buggy. Home button doesn't work, some apps cannot function, it seems to be designed for a screen shape Samsung doesn't make, keyboard looks horrific, system is suddenly very laggy...

Next time, maybe test it before it escapes.

Ok, it's not Aqualung, but it's peak Tull to my ears. Clive Bunker was an absolute monster on the drums, and Ian Anderson hadn't yet turned into an eccentric salmon farmer.. Basically they were a rock band, not a caricature.

If I had to pick one track from this, it'd have to be The Night Comes Down - the earliest Queen track to feature on an album, amazing intro and outro, seriously good bassline, and the drum part is almost a love letter to Ringo.
