Ya, I was thinking about ALL the information that is out there and how most don't want to read anything on climate change-well, except me and a few others out there. Why do I read it? Because it interests me. Most are simply not interested in the subject and driving their car is more fun, I guess.

Greed makes ppl say real dumb things to get what they want. Reminds me of how addicts act. I wonder what they will keep saying when hurricanes and tornados get more strong and frequent and most of their customer/employee base is dead or sick.

Ya, I am proud that I have never owned a car actually. But the societal pressure to get one has been in my face for years now. My last bike got stolen- but I am fine with walking and the bus now. I love walking so much now, it is weird. I prefer to take life slow anyways-if I can.

...pay $250 for this ticket...how will I ever own a car since it is already so hard for me to save for one on a restaurant workers wages? Cars- the rich want everyone driving one because it makes them more $$, but also if ya don't got one well, they want to still take your $$ so you can't get one!

The ticket was an horrendous $250 and I didn't have the option to take a road safety course like cars do- in order for this to be taken care of. Which I found odd since they put that as an option, but then told me it was unavailable to me. Felt like-'well, you should buy a car then"-but if I gotta..

...and all sorts of odd personal questions about where I worked and such. Pretty annoying questions, especially since it was all making me late for work. But ya, just weird how one was stationed on my safest route-which made it unsafe for me after this.

O ya, the traffic there is atrocious!! One day when I was riding my bike to work-of which I had to keep finding the best/safest way to get there- I was chased down and stopped by a cop and handed a ticket for riding across the street(? I forget exactly what it was). They asked me where I was going..

If there is another planet that sort of resembles this one so that the rich ppl can go colonize it....well, what if money means nothing to the beings living there? Hey, what if the beings on that planet are all blue and just kill the white, rich guys on site because they are not blue ppl?

I do wonder how far the rich rulers will take it. I see some big houses falling into the ocean ya know and I can't help but wonder how many homes falling into the ocean it will take for ppl to recognize and stop denying it. Will it take a hurricane taking out most of southern FL?

...well, then the poor and working class can't work that well if they are sick and dying. If a hurricane has made a bunch of workers at walmart homeless and dead...where are the workers...where are the consumers to spend $$? No more money to go to the walton family, huh?

Proves that rich ppl are NOT really geniuses. Because they forget the reason they are rich and it is not because of their 'hard work' sipping martinis on yachts. Climate change is going to make more of the working class sick and dead. And as the rich make it harder for the poor to live and survive..

O and I am surprised there was nothing about AI. But I think that lumps in with the massive deregulations that are happening, too. Yup, the EPA is just a shell run by fossil fuel now. Wonder if we will go back to having rivers on fire.

Thanks for this over view of COP30. Ya, I feel weird saying 'cop' with the climate issues myself, lol. Did you say Gavin Newsome was there? I have been steadily finding new groups of ppl who are interested in climate and the environment because none of my old friends care.

Neato! So, do you think there were tribes here in the Americas a million years ago? I had a white 'friend' say she was from a tribe here in the US and that her tribe was here a million years ago.

How do I talk about climate change when hardly anyone listens to me about anything? I think I may just start saying the words randomly in conversations just to see how ppl react. "Climate change"-will they ignore me and change the subject like usual? I often think I am hanging around the wrong ppl.

I was in the same predicament before my mom passed RIP. Ya, I couldn't make it home to help her because everything was/is unaffordable there. She also assured me I didn't have to come home and help her. It was still sad and torturous to not be able to move home to help or see her and the family.
