History Matters
I saw this with my daughter a couple years ago.. Soooo, goooood! I mean bad good! We make it a point to seek out these kinds of movies.. got started with Subterano.

Where did this "kill 'em all" sentiment start from? A couple months ago I was talking to someone who said the same thing! The kicker is that he himself was homeless for a time. Kilmeade must be parroting somebody or there are a just lot of sick folks jumping to this mass murder concept.

If the precedent is established, it won't matter where you are.

The key word is "individuals"
September 9, 2025 at 4:38 AM
Yep, and that is a weak justification for violating civil rights of American citizens.
September 9, 2025 at 4:37 AM
The dessent also noted that it violated the 4th amendment.

Reminiscent of the slavery years when free blacks required papers that were often not accepted. Currently, ICE is detaining people with valid papers but not accepting them as real. Now, admittedly, that is an outlier case, but for minorities, this abuse is cause for concern.

Hmm. Most of New Mexico should be profiled?
September 9, 2025 at 2:46 AM
You need to add the rest of section 1 and consider the equal protection clause.

Racial profiling is unconstitutional.

I agree with Sotomayor who wrote in the dissent:

"We should not have to live in a country where the Government can seize anyone who looks Latino, speaks Spanish, and appears to work a low wage job. Rather than stand idly by while our constitutional freedoms are lost, I dissent,”

Some of my family who are hispanic and native american, and have been on the continent before it was America, now keep their passports available when they travel inside their own country, just in case they are checked (which has already happened).
September 9, 2025 at 12:01 AM
The 14th amendment guarantees equal rights regardless of race and, therefore, should not be used as "reasonable suspicion," and lower courts have supported that.
September 9, 2025 at 12:00 AM
But what is the reasonable suspicion you speak of? They look Hispanic or have an accent ? Sounds like targeting.. you seem to be ok with any minority or ethnic community in the country as a basis for reasonable suspicion.

It was doing its job during the Dredd Scott decision as well which we know was a horrible ... and was judged as such by history. SCOTUS can make horrendous mistakes.
September 8, 2025 at 7:38 PM
This is the worst Supreme Court since 1857, and history will judge it as such.

He is declaring war on his own people.
August 24, 2025 at 7:46 PM
Holy shit, I never thought of Stephen Miller being married or anyone sick enough to be his partner.. other than a snake maybe....wait, does she have scales?
August 7, 2025 at 1:37 PM
Yep, I dumped them, they can go screw themselves.
July 19, 2025 at 5:14 AM
Yeah.. sll federal employees need to take an oath to defend the constitution. Therefore, when they knowingly perform actions against the constitution in favor of a dictators orders, does not that make them traitors?
April 16, 2025 at 2:34 AM
Bill, it would rock if you could have a historian or psychologist on who discusses the private nature of previous authoritarians to explain how they can be normal in private settings but horrendous in public and in their actions. It is a trait many share.
April 15, 2025 at 9:21 PM
Interestingly, you have experienced a trait of many athoritarians. They are tempered and even charming in intimate settings, which helps them develop their inner circles. The experience that you had with Trump helps us to see that side of the dictator.
April 15, 2025 at 9:16 PM
I wonder if all those countries had to push Lutnick away from Trumps ass to kiss it.
April 9, 2025 at 9:25 PM
Whether you like Rand Paul or not, we need to see these cracks in the republican party. If Paul can sway some of the other republicans to finally see this administration for what it is, perhaps they can help turn the ship around. Some folks just need to get slapped in the 401k to wake up I guess.
