I just cancelled my WaPo subscription. I didn't expect it to be so emotional. I've been a subscriber for 25+ years. Having the paper around has been part of life since I was a kid. Canceling feels like separating myself from society or something even though I know it is for a good cause.

I photographed a swim meet last night for the first time in years. While processing, I think the physicist in me got so distracted by the cool surface tension stuff that I started seeing the water as the subject rather than the swimmer. #photography #sportsphotography #physics

my favorite #sports #photograph of 2024. This was a JV field hockey goalie walking past me while returning to the goal after a break in the game. I missed this shot in my initial culling, but fortunately saw its potential a few weeks later. #monochrome #B&W #photography #sportsphotography

I am trying to teach myself studio lighting so I thought I'd see if I could get some shots of my dog catching a treat. I discovered that we both have room for improvement. And no, that last one isn't a continuation of the 2nd. She just didn't see the small training treat. #photography #dog

For many years, winter has meant wrestling, thanks to my son. It was the reason I got into #SportsPhotography and still one of my favorite sports to shoot.

First post. I am a hobbyist photographer. I shoot a lot of HS sports, but am not picky about what I point my camera at. I particularly enjoy B&W photography.
