Just worked mine out Dave and it’s 172 at present: could have added Woodlark but didn’t check their in 10 mile location in spring : also LEO and Hawfinch was 150m too far out : none of these were in the Yorky sector : several dips including Curlew Sand!!

The very sudden and incredible increase in these buntings in W Europe deserves a proper write up and analysis but we no longer have Birding World which for all its faults was a perfect outlet for the sort of thing: cannot really believe no one took it on : all internet sites are too fragmented

Nice shots Brian: we looked briefly a couple of weeks back but the usual Description of in the scrub I felt was probably incorrect in as much as it appears to be saltmarsh vegetation? Or were we in the wrong spot ?
