dogs, photography. Dogs I do well, the photo stuff I'm finding my way.

I may sometimes post AI generated stuff, with the intent of queering the historical record or just getting weird.

I was formed by queer Usenet, and grew up with Livejournal.
Ernie 2002 Tortola. He never liked this picture, because he thought it unrepresentative.

Did a photo shoot with Portland drag queen and longtime friend Quesa D'Mondays. They did some processing on them and I think they came out fucking amazing.

Midjourney is still a bucking bronco, but I'm enjoying the weirdness. Original photo is the two guys holding hands.

More MJ retexture
October 23, 2024 at 11:29 PM
Midjourney has a new capability to "retexture" an image I upload. I haven't read how to use it, just dove in. Pretty cool.

AI has been helpful in helping me visualize characters and ideas from dreams or reveries. First image was from a dream, a loud trouble bear outside of the old Dugout in NYC. The right is my partner Ernie wearing the same graphic on a shirt I created.

Remember those cute plecos / catfish in home aquariums who could survive neglect? They have found a home in Florida and this is how they nest.

Thank you interwebs: first I tried fig leaf tea. Iced, was delicious.
Then fig leaf ice cream - like coconut with more complexity and aromatics.

Can’t wait to try this again next year with fresh spring leaves.

Now I’m listening to Alan Hollinghurst’s latest - “Our Evenings” read by actor Prasanna Puwanarajah. The writing is gorgeous, and his reading of it is perfect. I’m only 3 chapters in but I want to just do nothing but listen to it.

From a dream - an attention-demanding trouble bear outside a bar (probably the old Dugout in NYC) wearing a shirt saying "Gurl, Whut?"

I have been following things from my dreams lately. Usually it's just a tail end remnant from something longer - this was where I was outside a gay bar in 1960s San Francisco talking to a drag queen named Buckleup Banquette, and I looked at a poster for her show.

Two particularly gorgeous shots from yesterday morning's dog walk. This is Fernhill Park in NE Portland Or.

Recently we visited House on the Rock in Wisconsin. It's the most compellingly bizarre thing I've experienced and it's still causing shrieks in my brain. These are my versions - cherubs performing amputations and flensing.
