Funny, but realistically it’s not a hula hoop. POTUS created a much bigger vortex. It’ll be more like an eclipse.

Example: The pressure Tim Cook’s getting from the White House is not the Epstein variety. He’s been fending off three Presidents acting like antitrust law like is a negotiating tactic.

Meanwhile, a Schoolhouse Rock narrator sighs, “And that’s how a Bill administers the law.”

Trump’s worried about cats and dogs.
Santos claims he’s good at saving cats and dogs.
So naturally, Trump’s saving Santos.

Russia and China are now playing the long game. Antagonizing both sides to pursue even more extreme positions and actions and waiting for a hyper polarized US to self-destruct. We need to do better.

Call vaccines “slavery” if you want, but then the Preamble’s notion of “Our Common Defense” is a constitutionally mandated draft… into irony

By this logic:
Vaccines = slavery
Jury duty = servitude
Taxes = ransom
Census = surveillance
Evacuations = tyranny

Parasites hollow out the host from within. The GOP once showcased well-defined principles and well-intentioned leaders. Now, it appears power grabs and cultish loyalty are consuming what kept it healthy. I hope I’m wrong.

Rope-a-dope: Ali’s genius, Trump’s folly. One left Foreman flat on the mat. The other leaves Congress flat on its back. It seems we’ve got another Rumble in Jungle for history books to contend with.

Given that picture, it’s hard not to visualize certain states as the Thénardiers of Les Mis — stuffing silverware in their pockets on the way out.

Hey mister tariff man, tally me banana (tax) — daylight come and the logic’s long gone!

Agree in theory, but the data suggests less than 10% of US imports actually have a domestic substitute - mostly in manufacturing, electronics, and vehicles. Those segments will gain pricing power.

How much lobbying from those industries “influenced” the tariff strategy in those sectors?

Especially since the Big Beautiful (and ever-expanding) Bill-fold is reaching into the pockets of future citizens—long before they have pockets, paychecks, or a vote.

That’s ugly. What worries me is the erosion of constitutional guardrails. When NDAs hide their own existence, we’ve abandoned necessary transparency. This is neither conservative nor liberal - it’s simply the opposite of constitutional governance. We need to be restoring checks and balances.
