Do not complicate the situation. Read and re-read the instructions so that you can give the government exactly what is asked for, keep it simple. No one reviewing your proposal is looking for fluff, so please do not include things that do not add value. #govcon #smallbiz #summer #rfp #govcontracts

If you respond to an RFP for services you may receive a pricing template with hours that have already been populated by the government, or you may have the opportunity to propose labor categories and the hours.

Before you pay someone to help you get a Small Biz Cert (HubZone, 8a, Woman/Veteran/Alaskan Native owned) or on a GSA schedule, ask for references for not only how well they assisted businesses gain the certs, but also how the businesses won contracts after obtaining the certs. #govcon #smallbiz

All documents and contracts go through several drafts before reaching their final form. Redlining is the process of tracking changes between document drafts. The name derives from those familiar red lines word processing programs add under text when they track changes.

Be prepared to discuss how your product or service can solve a problem. People do business with those that can show they are experts and can deliver.
