Family in the US so a keen watcher of events across the Pond.
True. Also, reporters ask a four part question, politician picks the bit they like best, re-routes the discussion and there‘s no push back, why? Interviewers seem overly grateful for politicians gracing them with their presence. Be polite, but they need you more. Hold their feet to the fire!

Goodness me, they’ve had quite the summer down that way.

Please no. This is how it starts, then the racists think it’s ok, that they’ve got permission not just to hate but to act on that hate. The US playbook is to be avoided at all costs, but I’m not sure how if sections of the media are going to push and support it.

And she knows it. A masterful look of utter disdain, perfection.

The big question is, which review can you take her on to make up for this?

No idea, but I’ve decided to watch ‘The Death of Stalin’ this afternoon…

Truly amazing work that they have done. Such dedication and determination over all these years. Even if it fails the peer review etc., this time, it’s still a massive leap forward.
Thank you for sharing and also the detail in your substack.

All the while costing the American taxpayers a small fortune.

PS - to the bot pretending to be Mr Rupar and sub posting ‘good comment, text me…’ don’t bother.

He doesn’t want to understand, especially anything that is outside of the narrative he has built for himself.

Once, when visiting my brother in Santa Monica, I spotted a squirrel running along a wire. Aw, that’s cute, I thought.
Five mins later it was back with half a bagel in its mouth.
Laughed out loud then realised that some poor dog probably got blamed for swiping that bagel.

This really needs a comedic voiceover.

Flip - took me a moment to realise it was an ‘Onion’ headline. From the comments I am not alone. Phew, but also jheesh.

Alaska is an interesting meeting point. What if Putin says ‘I’ll help you take Canada if you give us back Alaska’?
I know it sounds ridiculous, but with these two…?

It might be niche but I am heartened by the responses you’ve received. Looking forward to reading/watching/ listening to whatever it is you are putting together.
As the late, great Dave Allen used to say ‘good luck and may your God go with you.

I don’t know how people in the US cope with this. I go out for dinner and read my feed on the way home and each post seems more insane than the last. The one after this is about renaming the Kennedy Center after Melania T.
It’s only been six months…

Years ago my folks met an elderly chap who told a story of his parents sending him off on a train to visit relatives: he was in a pram with a luggage label.

My granny and I would have a day trip to Glasgow so she could go to this shop and stock up (am sure it was this one).
It was an Aladdin’s cave, full of wonder and colour. I was only wee and the walk up to it from Central station felt like mountain climbing. Happy days.
