Clouds are one of my favorite things to paint, but they can be tricky! Here’s a few tips I’ve learned along the way.

Time to remind people about the Commercial Pattern Archive — it doesn’t have instructions and search is a bear but there’s two hundred years’ worth of clothing patterns in here including all the big names new and old:

I don't mean to brag... But I won yarn chicken! And it fits! Now on to the sleeves...

Finished knitting fingerless mittens for my MIL! A late gift, but we have plenty of cold days left this year (and it is very nice merino wool my husband bought)

A satisfying mend on a king-size top sheet. Not my best work, but probably the biggest holes I've ever patched on a sheet. Seam allowances are nestled between the two seams (snoot of likely suspect for holes in 2nd photo)

I listen to audiobooks on Libby, free through my library card, pretty much every day - doing yoga, while baking or cleaning, in the shower, etc. And I've been able to keep up with the newest issues of comic books I'm interested in for free through Hoopla!
If, for various reasons, you find yourself with a tighter budget in the coming months/years (or just want to save/invest as much as possible), remember to take full advantage of your local library — and not just for books.

Reading a book before bed is the best thing ever. Novel, manga, comic, whatever it might be, it is such a great feeling to be able to sit in silence and get sucked into a world before falling asleep.

Plus, a book doesn't emit blue light

pick up an analog hobby, I'm so serious. something that holds your attention and is fun for you, literally anything.

Collect and identify bread tags or something, just don't fall into the trap of doomscroll paralysis again
