Was there a reason they decided not to close it? (Sorry if that's answered in the article, I can't get past the paywall). Given that it's paralleled by so many lines I'd hope that'd be less disruptive than when they have to close lines here in D.C.

THANK YOU for having this as heavy rail. It's absolutely crazy that it's currently in their plans as light rail.
