The only possible road to redemption in this country will be if the children in this country are not as dumb as their fucking parents. Hopefully, if the kids will stay out of southern churches and not watch Fox, we have a chance.

I wonder if they manufacture a home version — goutweed and other nearly ineradicable invaders would become so easy to conquer. Imagine saying, “I’m going out to weed the garden/yard with my laser gun.”

We have the same thing on the other coast in Newfoundland. My Ontario son marvels at the smallness of the evergreen trees and how they’re bent over almost flat by the Atlantic wind.
