I understand wanting your kids to try new things but it’s really not that hard to make a side dish that can also be a main course. That way no one goes to bed hungry.

I put together one for my adult daughter. It’s typically just candy she likes and a Halloween ty beanie baby.

As others have said, it gets worse. Once my youngest graduated I managed to reduce it to one small storage bin.

We fostered 5 kittens. Long story short, we adapted 5 kittens. We failed at being a foster.

Neither can I. We let our daughter have a cell phone but we didn’t allow her to take it to school until High School. She would be one of the kids having issues.

In the 90s our high school was doing construction. The school lost power and we got sent home. A lot of parents had no idea why we got sent home until hours later.

Meanwhile, our local district(daughter already graduated)is now using hall passes given out via a cell phone app. Parents are asking online how this works if your kid doesn’t have a phone or leaves their phone at home.

I let my kid play in the mud when she was younger. I’d simply have Dad watch a movie with her after so I could clean the tub.

I asked my nurse after my C-section why I couldn’t hold my daughter. I vaguely remember an answer of I could accidentally drop her.

I couldn’t breast feed due to almost dying. Some lady in the mall tried to scold me for bottle feeding. I went in to great detail about my complications. She shut up real quick.

We have two cats with different last names. Harvey Dent and Casey Jones. All of our other superhero/villain named cats don’t have last names.

When my youngest played restaurant she charged me $100 for a taco. She got mad when I told her the prices were ridiculous and didn’t buy one.

My daughter used to bring her toy laptop to restaurants or she’d bring a notebook with a pen and write.

One of our cats started dying on our wedding anniversary. We spent the entire day looking for him. The evening was topped off with the vet to put him down.

You’ll have to buy school supplies that slowly increase in price and any after school activities. Depending on your kids interests those can get pricey.

Our cat William had a rare kidney issue. He ended up in pain. We could have tried an expensive/experimental treatment but it wouldn’t guarantee he’d make it or reduce the pain. It was kinder to let him go.
