Times have changed, but as a resident doctor in the ‘80s I observed a couple, was supervised for a handful and was then expected to perform the procedure solo. It’s not difficult.

It’s not a difficult procedure if you have basic surgical and gynaecological skills. Any OBGYN trainee can perform a curette, which is basically what it is.
