The answer’s lost in context and interpretation of the question. 17% of respondents in a 2024 YouGov poll had a positive or favorable view of the Dark Ages. 24% saw the Bubonic Plague in something other than an “unfavorable” light. Odd undisclosed logic? Snark and dishonesty? Roll on.

Why do people think states are able to “withhold” federal money?? The states don’t pay any taxes to the federal gov (apart from paychecks of state employees). PEOPLE and a few companies pay fed taxes, and failing to do so will get you fined (heavily, with accruing interest) and possibly jail time.

Turkey stock though, right? Turkey stock made with a left over carcass is the best. I do it every time because it’s a rare opportunity and there’s nothing better.

If you need that, then get off of your phone, and spend face time with people you care about that lift you up or make you laugh. Hypervigilant doom scrolling won’t change a thing, and neither will “staying informed”. Enjoying a full day of goodness with others absolutely will.
