To clarify, i don’t think lab-leak is conspiracy level, not implausible, but just way less likely than a regular crossover and ultimately doesn’t change that we’re likely to get more in the future.

part of this is because with cryo-EM the "resolution" is generally the total global resolution, but the map has a wide spread of local resolution. A 2.5A map may have regions that are 1.6A and regions that are 6A. In crystallography the local resolution is basically consistent with the global.
