A family evening of #CanvasBoardGame. I love both the aesthetic and the gameplay. Rules are easy, but the possibilities wide without becoming overwhelming. The feeling of finishing a unique "painting is a nice bonus.

I've had the opportunity to talk to my fellow (mostly) amateur writers about using #boardgames and #ttrpg (especially the random tables) as a tool for #writing. Not surprisingly, most of them are not giant nerds as myself and had no idea of such possibilities, not to mention the process itself.

I don't know about you but I've had a long and difficult day. So I unwinded by making some #Ironsworn memes. If your day was difficult as well, they might help you cheer up. Sometimes we need to do something unproductive.

Finished Yumi and the Nightmare Painter by @brandonsanderson.com. I'm too old to be the target audiencie, but did I enjoy this book! I liked it even better than Mistborn, and I liked that one! And so many lessons for an amateur writer like me.

My 10-years old daughter drew some killer eyes. Now I feel compelled to make some #one-page #TTRPG - something along the Hermaeus Mora/paranoia/too much Cthulhu knowledge lines for those eyeballs. Ideally something dice-based so snake eyes are the best roll. Anyone has any ideas?

I've had the opportunity to run a game of #ironsworn #starforged on a local con in #Presov, Slovakia I help organize. I purposfully prepared nothing except for a fact that there will be a research station where some experiments with time were concluded (the theme of the con was time travel). 🧵

Just finished the Slovak translation of Brandon #Sanderson 's #Mistborn. Slower start, but the story nicely gained pace and the ending was great. Love the world and the characters. The translation, except for a few instances ("It depends" really only works in English), was well done. Recommened!

A very fun game of #Storytellers on #PegasCon in Prešov, Slovakia. The players ebjoyed the collaborative worldbuilding and the game loop that helps frame the narrative.

Some solo time with #CallToAdventure #cardgame (czech mutation). I really liked the game also creates a story. My young student had to rise up against a dark cult, no easy task! Plus, throwing runes instead of dice is a nice feeling.

Every month I write a short story for a competition for aspiring authors, #MÚZA. Two of them made it to a book of selected short stories from the first year of the competition. An eerie feeling, seeing one's name in a book!
