In the autumn of my life, Dad to 4, Papaw to 8. Lifelong gamer since Pong in the 1970s, currently playing Out Of The Park Baseball, which I used to stream. Also currently playing Smite/Smite 2 and having a blast. Battleground of the gods!
I still have my 1978 vintage TRS-80 in the original packaging, used for years when I self-taught programming and got my foot in the IT door, after 10 yrs of public school teaching. Spent 30 IT yrs, retired as an applications project lead. Old machine still worked when I powered it up a few yrs ago.

Last Xmas, I bought a multi-tiered rack that I could use to organize my spices and get them away from the kitchen, attached inside my utility closet door. Large containers are in their own basket, alpha order. Smaller jars are on succeeding racks with Dymo labels on top, also alpha order. Nice buy!

I left a goodbye post on X when I left, then found out later that it was taken down. I wonder out loud if the fact that I called him a semi-nasty name that was a heavy play on words including "Leon" had anything to do with it.

Nice!! I still possess my first baby, my TRS-80 from 1978. When I last tried a few years ago, it still fired up. Got me self-started on a 30-yr career in IT after teaching public school for 10 yrs. Happily retired in 2015.

I forgot to include the 73 titles I possess for my legacy Wii, which still functions, with Wii and compatible GameCube games itching to be played (and yes, I do play them all). Just got done playing some MarioKart. That brings my running total to 936. Closer to 1K than I originally thought!

I plead guilty to hoarding games and rarely if ever playing them, but 95%+ of my library (Steam, Epic Games, GOG, EA, Blizzard, etc.) is made up of total freebies or at least free-to-play titles. Last count had me at 863 games in my possession. Easy to do when I have 22.5 TB of storage. 😆

My wife used to be a public school librarian and one of my four daughters is a collegiate librarian. My local library system is one of the nation's leaders in per capita circulation. You bet your bottom dollar I believe in and use ALL the available resources to expand my horizons!

He'll have a platform to spew his garbage somewhere else, like mebbe a podcast, or something of that sort. Daddy has $$, so he can afford to back Sonnyboy in any venture he pleases. Attention and chaos whores like him need an audience, so be forewarned that he'll be appearing in another outlet soon.

And the very next day, that post was taken down. Pity. I was planning on staying for DMs only, because I have some family there, but have now left entirely, notifying those that matter by other available means.

Depends on what you mean by "functioning". If misinformation is allowed to flow as easy as water, that is not good function, at least to me. All the money on earth cannot account for or justify that amount and/or style of dysfunction.

Not better when it's pushing misinformation to targeted groups of users at the rate it did before the election. There's a very informative article from @washingtonpost.com that explains all this. A pro political reporter I know quit X entirely after this and I was soon to follow suit. Not better!

Raid: Shadow Legends for me, the constant barrage of promos trying to get me to buy something and send them money was annoying AF! Still looking for a fun game that is easy to learn and play for an olde pharte like me (71), not as quick on the trigger as I used to be. TIA for suggestions!

I'm currently in between games to play other than Out Of The Park Baseball, my main jam. Got tired of Shadow Legends constantly hounding me to buy something. Also tired of Stream Raiders' tedium. Not the quickest trigger at age 71, but interested in an easy-to-learn-and-play FPS/TPS. Ideas? TIA!
