I think Jays fans are ignoring the VERY real possibility that Vlad is actually holding their feet to the flames to sign a guy like Soto *before* he will commit long-term. Build a perennial winner.

I just feel that the Blue Jays should give an extension to Vladimir Guerrero JR before spending money on Juan Soto. I get it, you want another bat that can help this team. What does it say to the player if you sign Soto and don’t have enough money to extend Guerrero?
