This year's birthday present (I turned 56 recently). Double book set with label scans,addresses,discographies, rare photos and a lot more. Only downside is that it's a reference book and there's no actual writing involved per se but there's Robert Pruter's great "Chicago Soul" book for that.

One of my other loves besides music is animals. Especially dogs. They're great. Especially Coco, the 2 year old Shih Tzu.

Rare roots reggae album finally repressed. I used to have an original press but the sound quality was very quiet and I sold it on. Glad to have it in decent sound AND on 180gm vinyl too. #reggae

I have these two history of the label books/discographies. The writer reviews many of the tunes, some of my own favourites he totally slates but such is life.
