Really, I'd rather see Cold War Bond films. Say, Bond in Russia, between the end of YOLT and Monnraker. Or concentrating on a minor theme in so many of the novels: England fumbling its way through stopping the heroin trade.

My own difficulty with continuing a Bond canon/cycle/film series is that James Bond has become quaint. In a world in which a superpower elects a serial rapist, who is the puppet of a mass murderer, the notion of an intelligence agent who won't be prosecuted if he has to kill someone is silly.
