Honk honk toot
A queer neurodivergent they/them furry weirdo, full of very unreasonable bones.

This is a personal account for my friends. I block if the vibes are even slightly bad, and I don't follow people I don't know, sorry
some of my favorite moments in this game are when random players, instead of constant dino-murder, gather and do silly stuff, communicating only via body language. Just some randos lining up to jump dinos over each other. Roaring in triumph when they clear. Then impromptu crouch walk conga lines.

"why does it take so long for you to plan your paintings??"

In good news, check out my blind little guy on my knee, he's gotten comfortable enough with us to sit on us and do a big preen (when we brought him home he'd never been handled and was terrified of it)

I'm so, so grateful I have support of a partner, and that I'll be okay due to it. This isn't a complaint; I truly am okay (due to said support)

But... the art business is so rough right now. I've never had a holiday season before where I haven't sold anything, before. Bleak.

it sure is snowin

A cool observation over the years: our local red-shouldered hawks prey on on snakes, frogs, and toads, & also enjoy scavenging. I've never seen them take a bird or mammal. They are the only hawk the crows won't mob, and they seem to be very chill with one other. Here's a juvie hanging with a crow.

Last night as I was stumbling to bed, I tugged a dead leaf off a plant that sits on a very high shelf in my bathroom, not knowing it was dry and tippy. It fell, absolutely exploding dirt all over the room and myself, including into my mouth as I was brushing my teeth. So that is how things are going

Anyhow I prefer to share cool things instead of rage honking about healthcare, so check it out: the moon, and our first snow.

Ah yes, full circle. My high risk cancer screenings are now scheduled for 2026, a full year from when I was initially supposed to have them
(if a doctor again scolds me for "delaying" I am going to go completely feral)
...so I was sent home. I gotta try to reschedule next week. Now I have to do several co-pays as well, instead of just one! awesome!

I had to scream-honk into the void some more because it's been really bad! Such cool medical systems we have!!! honk honk fuck!
November 17, 2025 at 6:27 PM
I had 2 other appts today in conjunction with the cancelled one and was told to still come in for them. After waiting three(!!!) hours, the staff went home, and we were like ?? and asked for help from other hospital staff; they couldn't do the screening I was there for without the cancelled one
going out of my DING DANG MIND they just called the day-of to cancel for the third time this year, I've been trying to get in since last winter

just honking into the void here, sorry
dang it really does take many months to get an appointment for routine annual medical screenings now huh

It's hella snowing outside, and I love the change of seasons truly, but I'm also feeling personally attacked because I lost most of my summer to illness and now it's 1000% winter which simply is not fair

Because I cannot seem to toss nice cuttings, I have been experimenting. Here's a ficus benjamina that I've been training onto a rock (that I saved from when I used to keep planted aquariums). This is still early in development and isn't styled yet, I started it in 2023. I hope it'll be really neat
November 10, 2025 at 6:25 PM
More ficus benjamina. These are all cuttings off of the "main" tree I got years ago. The one in the little pot is a new start and has no refinement yet, and the trees in the little forest are pretty new as well. I have too many of these because I struggle to discard cuttings.

I was cleaning the garage the other day and even though it has been years since she's been gone, one of her feathers must have been in there somehow. The breeze caught one of her blue feathers as I cleaned and it blew up and stuck to my arm, and I cried. I miss her so much
November 7, 2025 at 4:40 PM
This little twin trunk ficus benjamina was initially shoved into the same pot as the prior tree. I discovered it was two separate plants when I did the first repot in 2020, so I gave it its own house. Unfortunately the pot arrived from the potter broken in the mail, but I repaired it.
November 6, 2025 at 3:08 PM
My journey started with this ficus benjamina, gifted to me as a houseplant ~ten years ago. I grew it as such, but then in 2020 it was struggling; root bound, so I looked up how to repot and prune it. My house is small, I wanted it to stay small, and realized I could try bonsai... (photo current)

For Halloween, what if you took a yucca gigantea houseplant and tortured it a bit

even more scary: this fibrous creature has broken two ceramic pots with its rooty exuberance, so it is banished to plastic pots forevermore

Here's a little pink pixie bouganvillia single and a forest. They didn't grow strongly this year so they're scruffy for now, and mostly post-blooming. The single plant (with & without moss) is the source for the cuttings stuck into the "forest". I enjoy how they look like tiny catalpa trees <3
