i mean ads are kind of inevitable unfortunately, game streaming is an order of magnitude more expensive to run than video streaming cause you have to do both if you're actually hosting such a service

It's a good idea if its an open platform like itchio - imagine something like armorgames for gen alpha. let anyone make something in unity and build for a specific sku, upload to their servers. ig reels but weird interactive indie experiments. guarantee if i'm thinking about it they've prototyped it

the layers of narrative kind of play into that i feel, the way people develop their worldviews through the narratives created on the internet, the way an understanding of the world *requires* understanding those narratives, etc etc

i played undertale+deltarune for the first time last month and kind of came away with the read that while undertale was a game about making internet friends, deltarune is about how the internet mediates our relationships to our friends and the world. it's about the ways the "internet is real life"
