Would the 🇨🇦 Govt do this without strong consultation with $CCJ? Or just do first, think later? Ala Trump…

IMHO cameco wouldn’t consider this due to risk of reputation & will keep honouring contracts in the spirit that they were signed. Grant has said that they saw early tariff signals and added clauses to negate the risk.

No doubt as soon as $NXE on stream in 2028 all contracts will be suspended and $NXE will lead the world. Trump will probably buy it with Elon. No $CCJ, SPUT cross-border nationalised by MAGA.

The term price will convince jnrs and greenfield. Not just a re-normalisation of spot closer to long term contract prices.

1. Why don’t $CCJ buy the 💩 out of spot since realised prices are $79 and ⬆️ and they are over contracted
2. Demonstrate to utilities the shallowness of spot
3. Possibly help get SPUT into + NAV
4. Get the flywheel effect going

Has the shutting down coal & reliance on intermittent renewables lowered anyone’s power bills? Many people smarter than me have said net 0 is impossible without nuclear. I think you need to consider modern nuclear tech and not get hung up on past. Even the cofounder of Greenpeace is pro nuclear.
