y'know I'm starting to think some nerds might have unusually strong emotional responses to changes involving their preferred fictional settings. i wonder if other franchises have a similar issue.

It's not the lack of dot connection that's the issue, it's that some folks won't ever see the finished shape regardless of the dpi. Folks can hem and haw about education and messaging and intent but some folks *just won't ever fucking get it.* And will fight to the death to not ever get it.
