Smiling after a day on two wheels and great roads
The green and white leather 70s Dainese suit, a fluke find in a vintage shop.
The Bear, amongst the better choices I’ve made in my life, just ticked over 15,000 km
Today’s ride was 180km, half a dozen coffee stops in 4°C and rain

I often go for a ride before work, especially if I’m working from home. I call it a ‘fake commute’

I’m often joined by birds while sitting in the warming sun eating my breakfast

31 years ago, VicPol raided a gay dance club in Melbourne. It resulted in a class action, which the Police lost and changed the relationship between the community and the police

These are from this years reunion party

Has anyone asked why Trump is choosing the new $3 trillion partner over the historical $23 trillion partners?

For those bad at history and science

Pennyweight Flat Children’s Cemetery 1852

Over 200 children were buried here, having taken victim to the diseases of the gold rush

Specifically scarlet fever, whooping cough, pneumonia, measles, diphtheria and tuberculosis

All have vaccines now

It’s just dawned on me
What do Trump fans think the role of government is?

My opinion is:
- Maintain a balanced civil society through the transparent and equal application of the rule of law
- Build major infrastructure to support social and economic growth and security

When Elon Musk asked voters to brace for economic 'hardship,' resulting from his Trump Cabinet spending cuts, I think he meant generational, not a few weeks

When I got my first bike I wanted to learn to be mechanical

So far it’s still running and I’ve come close to learning what I wanted to learn

I’ve done a lot. Some of poorly and had to redo it but all of it enjoyable

I’ve learned a lot

It's a failure of education and a crime against history to focus only on one group that Nazis kills and not the other 11 million innocent victims too.
Total 17 million

A cool Sunday and the world’s troubles a distant thought

Nuclear isn’t the problem

Nuclear for Australia with competing renewables, existing legislation and consumer sentiment has significant barriers to entry that does not make it cost effective for consumers or investors

But happy to spend money on influence
"Earlier in 2024, pro-renewables group the Clean Energy Council began running its own nuclear ad campaign. It was trying to convey, via billboard advertising over two weeks, that “Nuclear is a distraction”, and “Don’t risk Australia’s Future""
Pro-nuclear lobby group ramps up social media ad spend by nearly 150 pct
A teen-founded lobby group backed by Dick Smith has ramped up its social media advertising spend in the first month of 2025, targeting middle-aged men in Queensland.
