Wouldn't it be the most on-brand thing ever for America if what makes people fully turn on Trump is just that eggs double in price? Like, we already dumped millions of pounds worth of tea into a harbor because of an 8% tax, and eggs are already a lot easier to throw than crates of tea.

Something that only really affects me, is that when you try to type out Um, Actually on my iPhone is auto corrects to Umbrella Academy and I probably worsened it by typing this sentence out.

So excited for the new season of this! Dropout’s content as a whole has been helping me get through this past week of insanity.
In what’s perhaps the most stressful time to be alive in the last few years, don’t discount micro-joys. For instance, I remembered today that many Emily Dickinson poems are written in common measure, and so can be sung to the tune of Gilligan’s Island. That got me through a good fifteen minutes.

These executive orders on banning federally funded entities from recognizing trans people or disallowing them from using the bathroom are not self-executing or immediately enforceable. They require formal rule making at a minimum. They are a scare tactic. Ignore and do not comply in advance.

I thoroughly believe that the closest we came to recovering spiritually as a society was that brief, roughly 3-month period during the COVID lockdown that sea shanties got inexplicably popular.
