I buy silver plate platters at thrift shops or garage sales to use at the boat. They look good and are inexpensive (folks give them up because they don’t want to polish them). Plus, they’re unbreakable. 😏

I just kept thinking about how pans of dressing get soggy and packed down in the middle. And how much is usually leftover. As much as I love dressing, I do end up dumping some at the end of a few days.

For me, it depends on the year, and what’s available. If I can find good sugar pumpkins, I use those. If not, I use the canned purée. This year I found something called a ‘long pie pumpkin’. I’ll see how it goes…
