We want to offer clarity to the communities and orgs we serve in nightlife and hospitality. That’s why we are working on a detailed update to ‘We All Need the Toilet’ - our trusted inclusive bathroom access toolkit for licensed premises, co-authored with LGBT+ anti-violence charity Galop.

Let’s make one thing clear: No ruling will 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 make it acceptable for venue employees or customers to ask personal questions or interrogate trans, non-binary or gender non-conforming people. Run or work in a venue? Reach out if you’d like support or have questions.

The interim guidance from the Equality and Human Rights Commission after the Supreme Court judgement was shocking but not surprising, and subsequent contradictory statements have led to even more alarm. Human Rights Watch called the judgement “severely regressive.” 𝙒𝙚 𝙖𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚.
