I prefer the variety of shapes in garden carrots vs the uniformity of store bought. Not to mention the superior flavor. This one is obviously spicy. 🙄

Feeding together is a good survival strategy. Deer have excellent sense of smell and hearing and turkey have superior visual acuity. Any predator activity and all will be warned.

How about we never shut down govt. The govt automatically continues at previously authorized budget levels. And Congress is required to work on the new budget continuously, weekends and holidays until the new budget is approved. No recesses. Nothing motivates Congress like requiring them to work.

It doesn't take a storm. I find mylar balloons in State Parks, Nature Preserves and Fish and Game areas throughout Indiana and Michigan. It would be a safe guess that they originated largely from people who otherwise detest littering. And then there are event balloon releases...

Hedge rows aren't just noncrop areas. They are habitat for wildlife and beneficial insects. They slow winds, reducing wind erosion and filter sheet flow from heavy precipitation events. Thoughtful low intensity management of these features can increase their value to the farms.

NRCS could require this for Farm Bill program participants in the U.S.
