For the first half of the parade it was good! The pun was lost (the concept was “The Big Freezie” but I learned that Americans call them “Freeze Pops” so no rhyming with “Big Easy.” Dumb move to use white wine instead of red but you can still see the liquid line around my hip level #whoneedsAI

Yeah and no clue why this has to be done with AI! I did a DIY version of this by ironing the ends of clear plastic sheets with holes for the head/arms. I put wine in it and sipped it from a straw throughout the Bacchus of Wine parade in New Orleans around 2009. It leaked halfway through, but still…

I don’t doubt it, but if I’m looking at “why now” it’s not just the budget I’m thinking of. The Byrne angle is an underrated one IMO, it was not a subtle request for her to go — and now she’s basically calling the shots on party discipline. That would absolutely infuriate anyone
