I really enjoy this movie every time I watch it and I’m happy to stream it on HBO Max so I can put captions on (millennial) and enjoy Jonny Greenwood’s score again. I don’t know if it will replace Uncut Gems as my comfort watch (Sports Gambling movie, of course I love it) but I’m having fun rn.

I don’t think any of the characters are perfect but I do think the sum of all of these parts made one of the best movies I watched this year. All ten?

It turns out the first copy wasn’t bad, it’s the story of Perfidia Beverly Hills is told is such an abrupt fashion that puts a lot of faith in the audience to see it through. It’s really easy as a black person to be distracted by the portrayal of the black actors, but it’s just that, a distraction.
