Yes it will be important to see their published journal article and hopefully some thoughtful debate. We could use a few more "food professors" to broaden the discussion, particularly in the media.

Science is a system designed to increase truth-density. While it is managed by humans and so cannot completely eliminate false claims, it helps reduce the risk of self-deception—a significant threat for all of us. Many other information sources lack this systematic safeguard.
